Cambridge Guide: Hotels, Food, Coffee and places to visit

Updated October 10, 2024

Cambridge has this unique vibe that keeps me coming back. There’s just something about this city that feels magical. With its stunning buildings, lively atmosphere, and charming river, it’s hard not to fall in love with it.

One of my favorite things to do is punting on the River Cam. It’s such a fun way to see the colleges and soak up the scenery.

If you’re into history, you can’t miss the Fitzwilliam Museum. The art and artifacts there are amazing, and the best part? It’s free! Afterward, take a leisurely stroll through the university’s beautiful gardens—Pembroke College has some of the prettiest spots.

Food is another highlight. The market in the city center is full of delicious local treats, and you can find plenty of cozy cafés and pubs to grab a bite. I love discovering new places to eat! Here are few spots I recommend:

The Folio Bar & Kitchen (Fine Dining)

The Folio Bar & Kitchen is where good vibes meet great food. Whether you’re grabbing brunch with friends, sipping cocktails after work, or diving into a mouthwatering dinner, this spot’s got you covered. Locally-sourced ingredients, creative plates, and a cozy atmosphere.

Pages Coffee House

Knoops

Knoops chocolate is the first thing I’m craving every morning and the last thing I thing about before bed. If you’ve not tried it yet, good – this would 100% become your addiction.

Benets Cafe

Cute, little cafe with hot & cold drinks, icecreams and Brioche con Gelato!

Bould Brothers Coffee

The best speciality coffee experience in the centre of Cambridge.
