Life during lockdown made us explore more UK cities than ever before (throughout our 15+ years living in England), and because I\u2019m a huge architecture enthusiast, we mainly focused on the cities with a history like Cambridge, Oxford or Bath<\/a>. The last one is my forever favorite so we thought it\u2019s about time we get to see its rival: Bristol. We kept our hopes up and were expecting to be blown away with Bristol’s charm but quite frankly our first visit was such a disappointment. We didn\u2019t get to see much of Bristol\u2019s hotspots, most restaurants and cafes were obviously closed due to covid and it just felt like a ghost town. Back then I was pretty sure I would never like to visit Bristol ever again, but I love to prove myself wrong and here I am, 3 years later, giving Bristol another chance!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mollie’s Motel, Bristol<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I came across their Instagram and instantly felt the vibe. In fact, Mollie\u2019s<\/a> was the only reason we decided to give Bristol another shot (and I\u2019m glad we did!). It\u2019s a budget friendly, innovative motel based approx. 20mins from Bristol Centre and been named as the \u2018Best Budget Hotel\u2019 in Sunday Times<\/strong> Best Places to Stay.
Wonder why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mollie\u2019s<\/a> is a modern, boutique motel that not only offers comfort but also a touch of luxury at affordable prices. The rooms are designed by Soho House<\/strong>, beautifully decorated, cosy and chic. The whole place has a subtle, woody smell as the interiors are enriched with wooden panels. Each room has a dreamy hand-crafted Hypnos mattresses by Soho Home, Dyson Hairdryer and GHD wands, Cowshed natural products, velvety armchairs by Conran and the TV with a set up to cast from your phone so streaming services can be enjoyed on the big screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I loved about Mollie’s was the welcoming and friendly staff and the fact that everything here was so well thought-out, like digital check-in, EV chargers and THE BIKES that you can borrow to explore the area – I mean.. can it get any better?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re Mollie’s Motel guest or ever find yourself nearby, I highly recommend Mollie’s Diner<\/strong><\/a>. We had a breakfast and dinner and the food was amazing (I asked the waitress to tell the chef the French Toast I had for breakfast was honestly THE BEST French Toast I’ve ever had) – bear in mind I’m a French Toast specialist, it’s the first thing I’d pick from the menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
